Black Tap
27th April 2024Had this tap about 2 years, very noisy and all the black chips off. If you want a long lasting tap please don't go for cheap. You get what you pay for.

Decent if you know what your getting
29th February 2024It's not obvious how this tap works from the page description, as can be seen by 2 questions in the Q&A section about it. With the handle turned fully in one direction, the tap is off. As you turn the knob cold water will flow, starting slowly and increasing in pressure and speed as you turn more. At a certain point as you continue to turn hot water is added, so the flow become tepid, through to warm as you continue to turn. Then towards the end of the turn the cold ceases and the water becomes 100% from the hot flow. It's an ok system, but the one significant downside is you can't get a small amount of just hot water. If you want a small flow of cold, then you just turn the knob a little bit and a small flow is allowed through. But hot begins essentially as your cold is at max flow. You then continue to turn to feel the cold feed being excluded but your hot feed is now flowing at max rate. At the moment I've needed to partially close the isolator values on the inflow pipes to manage this weird pressure setup. Looks and feels very nice, weighty construction. I didn't get (or missed) an instruction manual and it's not obvious which is the hot and cold feed. I guessed, plumbed it in and found I'd guessed wrong and needed to refit. Not ideal
