Young Finance Director of the Year win for Victorian Plumbing's Martin Stewart

After facing stiff competition from over 250 fellow nominees in his category, we are pleased to announce that our Financial Director Martin Stewart was awarded ‘Young Finance Director of the Year Award’ at the FD Awards ceremony that was held at Crowne Plaza Liverpool, 11th November 2015.

The prestigious Financial Director of the Year Awards are designed to celebrate and recognise the outstanding work done by Financial Directors in Liverpool, North Wales and Cheshire during the past twelve months. The Awards also highlight the positive impact that local businesses have had on the local economy and employment. Apart from Martin’s award, others were up for grabs on the evening that included: Finance Director of the Year Non-Profit Organisation, Finance Director of the Year North Wales, to name a few.

We spoke to Martin about his win at the Awards, he said: “To be part of the Financial Director of The Year Awards 2015 was a great achievement for both myself and the company. I am really pleased to take home the Young Finance Director of the Year and to be part of Victorian Plumbing’s rapid growth as an online bathroom retailer.”

Martin and his fellow nominees were judged on the impact that they have had on their respective businesses and the resulting success of this impact.

Martin Stewart has been the financial director of Victorian Plumbing since its founding, and recently oversaw the company’s most successful year to date, with sales increasing by 115% from the previous year.

The awards were sponsored by HSBC, Grant Thornton, Hill Dickinson and Accountable Recruitment, and was organised by Journey 9.
