Boiler below par

Website, ordering, delivery very smooth, love Victorian plumbing website. Thank you. Product review: The Tap is good and appears well made. Installation: Insert the large brass thread into the tap securely before installing onto sink, then installation is as expected. Boiler: This was to replace the Grohe boiler. a) the new boiler does not provide the rated 98 degrees b) the pressure of boiling water is lower If the boiler had performed like it's predecessor it would have got a 5 star rating.

Love the look and the feel

I love the look and feel of the tap, the hose part in particiluar being able to reach areas is great. However the functionality is a little disappointing, as you can't change the flow of water, the tap is either on or off. I do think it should be clearer. The hot water tap, the flow is slow but i understand that for safety reasons.

Great boiler tap

Was very easy to install (30minutes with the right tools) although the tap hoses were a little too short for under my sink so i've had to replace them with longer ones but this is possibly down to me having a different layout due to a waste disposal unit. The tap looks great and works brilliant. Highly recommend an install video on youtube by 'The DIY Guy'.

Design Flaw

This tap looks great aesthetically but the functionality is poor. The regular tap only moves one direction for cold and hot so if you have a large house it takes an age for the normal hot water to flow through. The hot/boiler tap is not bad but think a one click safety button is better as you have to hold it down and turn the tap at the same time. Not good if you have restrictive hand movement

Love the boiling hot

I love the boiling hot on this. We had our builders install and although I haven't tested the water temperature it is perfect for tea. I assume it comes out fairly slowly so it less of a scalding hazard. Still so much faster and easier than having to boil the kettle. The only thing I hadn't realized is that the regular tap only moves in one direction from cold to warm to hot. You can't control the water flow separately so you can only have a slow flow for cold water. Warm or hot flows quite fast and feels wasteful as I normally leave it running when washing up.

Disappointing

We bought this product because we liked the concept but felt we couldn't justify the price of the market leader. Our conclusion is, if you can't justify £1200 don't bother. The water may be 98c on the tank but by the time it gets to your cup we estimated it to be about 75c. The hot water delivery is not insulated so the hot water has to heat up the metal tap first. Also because its open vented, the water temperature in the tank is limited to 98c. Also as mentioned in another review, it's difficult to sufficiently tighten the clamp nut.

Great Product for Price

Such a bonus for a small kitchen. The boiler tap does occasionally turn off but it’s rare and the level of water is quite a slow flow but safer not to have too much pressure and it’s a completely separate tap so no mistakes. Spray function on cold is excellent and it looks great too. Occasionally I miss having a mix of hot and cold water but it’s definitely worth it not having a kettle on the side and having to filter water. It tastes so much better. Great product.
