Traditional Toilets

Very easy to install, will need to buy your own brackets to fix to the floor as mine didn’t come with any. I am concerned over the design of the seat fixing, obviously this is a back to wall pan, and the fixings for the seat are only accessible from behind, if your toilet seat comes loose you’ll have to remove the toilet from the wall or have an access hatch from the side and even with that I can imagine it’d be very awkward contorting your hand to reach around, would be very fiddly! If the fixings were accessible from the side, i get that may not be as aesthetically pleasing but i think it would make more sense, just make a screw and nut fixing kit maybe covered in a white resin if it were to be on show? Yes the toilet seat comes with a top fixing kit, and you can adjust the torque from the top, but if someone who wasn’t aware of the design were to loosen the screw too much the plug it screws into will fall to the floor, and if you have a concealed system with no access to the floor behind the toilet you’re totally screwed, pardon the pun. So maybe fyi for anyone designing their bathroom and are considering this pan for a concealed cistern.

Toilet and cistern arrived well packaged. All went together very well. Seat fitted without impeding on flush handle as a few previous reviews have stated. Unfortunately the fill valve is very poor quality and has no stem height adjustment only the float adjustment. This meant that the cistern would not fill enough so that the siphon (traditional paddle type rather than modern one) could flush. Had to purchase a new one and then worked fine. Really should be good quality suitable for the toilet set up given the price.

We landed on this loo because it was slim enough to squeeze into a tiny studio bathroom, close coupled and with a chic level flush. It was hard finding a loo which fitted all 3 criteria but this has been great!

This was to replace a Trent Waverley that was installed about 30 years ago and it is a great fit replacement with minimal adjusting of pipework from existing. It feels like a great quality product. It looses a star from the ratings as the dimensions are slightly inaccurate in terms of the height. The dimensions state the height is 41.5 cm, in reality the Burlington that was supplied to us is 43cm high, and then when you add the seat it's even higher, so you do notice this feels like quite a high toilet when you sit on it.
