Skelmersdale Warehouse Update

We're making great progress with our new warehouse. Take a look at what we've been getting up to.

As you may recall from a previous blog we recently acquired a new premises in Skelmersdale. A 109,000 square foot warehouse near the M58 that allows us to house thousands of products, making it much easier and quicker to deal with customer orders. Well, now that the warehouse is fully operational and we are settling in, we thought we’d let you all know how we’re getting on!

Up and Running

Our warehouse, which is a new business centre for the company, has been taking shape nicely over the past few weeks, and we have been very busy with various things such as organising the huge amount of stock available into neat, manageable rows, and avoiding creating a giant maze in the process!, as well as getting new banners and signs made up, and generally getting the place prepared and ready for daily use.

The warehouse operatives are settling in well to their surroundings, and they are all extremely happy with the new build. This fantastic development showcases the growth of the company within the bathroom sector of the market, and exciting times lie ahead as we are always looking to further progress and evolve. Our current property in Formby has been a fantastic home for us since 1999, however the need for development and significantly more space meant that a new project was required in order to keep up with the growing demand for bathroom products.

Warehouse operative, Chris Roads, said: “I’m impressed with our new building. It makes our process much easier which benefits everyone from employees to customers. We’re all excited to be part of such developments. Everyone is doing their bit and it’s a really enjoyable place to be. This is a fantastic time to be a part of the company, and I look forward to seeing what the future holds.”

The jobs created by this expansion have provided a welcome boost to the local community and we are still recruiting for warehouse and customer service positions. A total of around 40 jobs will eventually be generated as a result of the new build.
