Ultra Traditional Twin Exposed Thermostatic Shower Valve with Rigid Riser Kit

A thermostatically controlled shower with separate controls for the flow & temperature. Suitable for all types of plumbing installation this shower valve has the added safety benefit of a built in anti scald device should the cold water supply fail.

The shower kit is comprised of exposed pipework with a 4 Inch Apron shower rose on an adjustable ball joint. These shower packs incorporate traditional shower valves with co-ordinating slide rails or fixed head kits. The complete shower package for any period style bathroom.

Can the arm to the shower head be replaced by a shorter one?

Hi, the Traditional Twin Exposed Thermostatic Shower Valve comes as seen on our website. Unfortunately we cannot provide a shorter arm.

Before I buy, can I fit the 8 inch Hudson Reed shower head to this arm? I'm assuming it's all pretty universal.

Hi David, we expect this should be fine to do, just check all the fittings are sealed correctly and check you've got enough water pressure too.

can this shower be used with a pump?

what is the water flow rate of this product

Hi Richard. Flow rate is determined by pressure through the shower from your central heating system and however many taps are running etc. We recommend a minimum of 0.1bar

Shower unit mostly good quality

The shower unit (which is mostly made of brass) has been mostly perfect. Very sturdy, with filtered inputs (to catch any muck in the pipes before entering the thermostatic mixer) and tested anti-scald device (which shuts down the water if the cold supply fails).We've had this installed for nearly two years now. There are a couple of things that would be better changed. First I added loctite to most of the screws, as, in use, I found they came loose. Which is a small problem, and easily fixed (ideally before lose handles/threads start to cause damage)Also, more recently the button (which allows the user to raise the temperature above a pre-set maximum), failed. This is a bit of a disappointment as I found it was made from quite cheap/brittle chromed plastic. I designed another/improved version and had it 3D printed, but without this we'd be a bit stuck with a broken looking shower unit.If this was made from brass too, or a stronger material with more bulk, this shower would be perfect. I'm not sure what other units on the market are like, but I'm guessing even if you spend more there'd probably still be manufacturing shortcuts like this. Overall we are pretty pleased with the shower/price, though for most people having to fix the button would be quite a challenge.
