Great tiles
20th March 2026Just be careful of your putting these in a shower room as they click together and aren’t suitable for in a shower room. However I put some as my splash back and they look amazing!

Lovely tiles
6th March 2026The casterton light grey tiles are lovely. I Used them for a kitchen splashback and they look beautiful up, very happy. The glitter makes the tiles have wet look in certain lighting, so if your not keen on glitter the glitter doesn't stand out and the over all effect is lovely. They look matt with no downward lighting and wet look with under cabinet lighting so you can get the effect you want. I'm so glad I chose these tiles. The tiler said they were good to put up and we used a one centimetre grout gap using a moon white colour and this gives the tiles a stacked effect with barley noticeable grout line. If your wanting a notice grout line you can have a wider grout line. My experience from ordering to customer service and delivery has been very easy and no problems. Questions answered in good time scale too.

FAQ's
Thinking about adding some serious texture? Split face tiles are the easy way to achieve instant depth, drama and that "these must have cost a fortune" look. Here’s what to know before diving in.
What are split face tiles?
Split face tiles are textured wall tiles made from small stone or stone effect strips layered at different depths, giving them that signature 3D, stacked-stone look. Originally, they were made from natural stone (and many still are), but there are also porcelain and ceramic versions that deliver the same rugged texture without the weight, sealing or upkeep of real stone. They’re ideal for feature walls and chimney breasts but also work well in many other spaces throughout the home.
What interiors do split face tiles work well in?
Split face wall tiles are very versatile; it all comes down to the colour and texture you go for:
- Choose warm greys and beige blends for bathrooms and relaxed living spaces
- Opt for charcoal and deep graphite for old, industrial or modern statement walls
- Choose rustic browns and mixed stone for heritage or earthy interiors
- Opt for white and marble effect tiles for contemporary spaces
If you’re adding bold texture to the walls, keep the flooring simpler; this keeps things balanced rather than busy.
Can I use split face wall tiles in a shower?
Real stone split face tiles aren’t the best choice inside a shower. They’re uneven, tricky to seal properly and can trap moisture in the small gaps. Porcelain or ceramic split face effect tiles, however, are shower-friendly. They give you the textured look without the porous surface, so they’re water-resistant and easier to clean.
